What is My Sony Membership?
My Sony Membership is a rewards program giving members exclusive access to rewards, benefits, promotions, and unique opportunities. My Sony Members earn points that can be redeemed toward purchases of qualifying items at the Sony Store (electronics.sony.com). For details see My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions.
How do I become a My Sony Member?
Membership is available to any United States resident who is 18+ (19+ in AL, NE) years and provides certain personal information when enrolling and participating, subject to the My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions.
You can join My Sony by clicking on “Join” within the header of the electronics.sony.com or clicking on the icon in the top right corner within the My Sony app — it's fast and easy to do. Just follow the step-by-step instructions to complete the enrollment process.
If you have an existing Sony Account with the Sony Store or through one of our sister companies (for example an account through PlayStation™Network, etc.) be sure to sign-in using the Log In Button located on electronics.sony.com by using your existing account email address and password. You will then be prompted to join the program, if you want, Simply review the My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions, click “Join” and you’re all set.
What is a Sony Account & how do I sign up for one?
When logging into or signing up for a My Sony Account you will be prompted with further information regarding Sony Account and how to obtain one. Please follow the prompts and additional messaging for further instructions.
When I join My Sony Membership, am I applying for a credit card too?
No, becoming a My Sony member does not include any applications for credit cards.
What are the benefits of becoming a My Sony Member?
All members will earn 2 points per $1 for the purchase of certain qualifying products on electrontics.sony.com. Points can be used towards the purchase of a future eligible product. Please see My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions for details, including for more information on how points are calculated.
In addition to earning points, members will get exclusive redemption opportunities and promotions.
Can I become a My Sony Member if I live outside the United States?
No. My Sony membership is only open to legal United States residents who are 18+ (19+ in AL, NE) or older. See My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions for details.
How many My Sony points do I have?
First, you’ll want to log into your Sony Store Account via electronics.sony.com. Then, you can see your points balance in the top-right corner. You can also see your points balance by clicking the Sony Account icon drop-down and selecting My Sony Membership to see your points balance and general Membership dashboard.
Can I link more than one Sony account to My Sony Membership?
No, you will only be able to link one Sony Account to My Sony Membership. Additionally, you won’t be able to change your Sony Account tied to your Membership. If you have a Sony Account (via Sony Store, through PlayStation™Network, Sony Rewards, etc.) and you have not yet joined My Sony, you will be prompted to join, if you want, when you login/enroll.
Can I use my My Sony points within PlayStation Stars or vice versa?
No. My Sony points must be used within the My Sony program affiliated with Sony Electronics Inc. (on electronics.sony.com) and points earned through PlayStation Stars must be used within PlayStation. See My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions for details.
How do I earn My Sony points?
You earn points each time you shop and buy select products as a Member on electronics.sony.com – it’s that easy! Be sure to log into your Sony Account each time you make such purchases. See My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions for details.
Do My Sony points expire?
Yes. If points are not redeemed, points will expire 24 months after they are earned. When redeeming your points, we will always use the oldest points first. See My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions for details.
Can my points be exchanged or cashed out for actual currency?
No, points do not have a cash equivalent, have no cash value, cannot be cashed out and can only be used towards a purchase of qualifying products at electronics.sony.com, subject to My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions.
How will I receive my points?
Points earned will generally be added to your Sony Account after your purchase qualifying products on electronics.sony.com. You can view your points balance by accessing your My Sony Membership page located in your Account drop down after logging in. See My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions for details.
Why didn't I earn points on my purchase?
This could happen for a few reasons. You should confirm that you are a My Sony Member and logged into your Sony Account when you are making qualifying purchases on electronics.sony.com.
Another possibility is the offers may have a defined eligibility and qualification requirements, which must be met to earn points under those promotional offers.
Please ensure you are logged into your Sony Account and are clear on qualifying products before you make purchases.

Can I earn points if I use a third-party payment processor or financing option such as PayPal or Affirm?
If you are a My Sony Member, logged in at the time of a qualifying purchase and using a third-party payment processor or financing option to purchase on electronics.sony.com, you will still earn points if offered. See My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions for details.
What happens to my points if I return Sony products?
If you make a return, points received for those Sony products will be deducted from your points balance at the time of the return. See My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions for details.
Where can I use My Sony Points?
You can use your My Sony Points only at electronics.sony.com.
What can I get with my My Sony points?
You can use your My Sony points towards the purchase of qualifying products that you see on the Sony Store such as headphones, televisions, cameras and more. See My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions for details.
Is there a minimum number of points needed in order to redeem from the My Sony catalog?
There is no minimum amount of points needed to redeem on electronics.sony.com, subject to the qualifying products being offered.
How do I use My Sony Points when making a purchase?
If you have become a My Sony Member with a Sony Account, when logging into your Sony Account you will see your points balance in the upper right of the website near your name. During checkout in the Payments area, your total points balance will appear along with the dollars ($) value those points can be redeemed for. Simply click “APPLY” and this amount will be deducted from your checkout total.
NOTE: If you have a remaining value My Sony points beyond the total cost of your purchase, those points will be kept in your Sony Account to apply towards future purchases.
Can My Sony points be used towards the entire purchase including extended warranties and/or sales tax?
Points can only be used toward products identified as qualifying purchases on electronics.sony.com. Thus, if extended warranties are identified as a qualifying purchase, you may use your points for the purchase. Sales tax and other things are excluded from the program. What happens if I forget to log in with my Sony Account as I check out online?
If you are a My Sony Member and forget to log into your Sony Account at the time of purchase, you will not receive your points for that purchase. Sony will not retroactively apply points to purchases.

If I used My Sony Points and canceled my order, will my points be refunded?
In the event of a return or canceled order for a qualifying purchase, the points amount you redeemed will be returned to your Sony Account. See My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions for details.
How do I cancel my membership?
To cancel your membership, please visit your My Sony Membership page and click “Cancel My Membership” located at the bottom of the page and confirm your cancelation. Your cancelation can take up to (2) business days to process after which your points will be forfeited, cancelled, null void, and no longer retrievable or redeemable.
What happens if I cancel my membership?

Will my point balance ever reduce for reasons other than if I redeem them?
Possibly. If you return an order and receive a refund, receive a price reduction for a price match, or receive a refund via your financial institution for reasons such as product not received, or after a time period set forth in My Sony Membership Program Terms and Conditions, points earned may be removed from your total point balance. Who can join My Sony Care Program?
My Sony Care is open to individuals residing in select states who have reached the age of majority (18 or 19 years old, depending on your state). To check qualifying states and Program details, please visit our terms.
Is My Sony Care an extended protection plan?
No. My Sony Care is a membership paid subscription tier within our loyalty program. While it is not an extended warranty plan, members receive up to 2 years protection on Qualified Products as long as their membership is in active status. Can I purchase a My Sony Care membership checking out as a Guest?
Yes, you can purchase a My Sony Care membership while checking out as a guest; however, to activate the membership, you must have a Sony Store Account associated with the email you used to purchase the My Sony Care membership. Customers who do not have a Sony Store Account will have 30 days from the date of purchase to open a Sony Store Account in order to activate their membership, otherwise the membership will be canceled. Does a My Sony Care membership cover more than one email address?

Does a My Sony Care membership cover support and protection on Sony products purchased outside of the Sony Store?
No. My Sony Care only covers Qualified Products purchased on the Sony Store (electronics.sony.com) during an active membership. Sony products at other retailers are ineligible for coverage under My Sony Care Program. See the complete Terms and Conditions for details.

Will My Sony Care membership auto-renew each year?
Yes, your My Sony Care membership will auto-renew each year and your debit or credit card on file in your Sony Account will be charged $179.99 on your annual renewal date, provided that you do not cancel at least 15 days before that date. Is the product protection that is included in my My Sony Care membership, applied to the products I’ve given as gifts if I’ve purchased them on the Sony Store?
My Sony Care benefits are not transferable. Thus, if you purchase a Qualified Product under your My Sony Care membership and give that product as a gift, you would be responsible for filing claims and administering the process for any benefits for any eligiblethe product under your membership. How do I cancel a My Sony Care membership?
You can cancel your membership by managing your subscription on your My Sony Care page in your Sony Account. Cancellation stops future renewals, however, your membership and benefits will continue through the end of your then-current paid term unless otherwise stated.
Customers have 30 days to cancel a membership after purchase for a refund equal to the annual membership fee, provided no products or services have been purchased while an active member, all purchased products eligible under the membership have been returned within the Sony Store standard return window or all orders have been cancelled prior to shipment while an active member. Any refund will be net anyof benefits received, including but not limited to promotional pricing, discounts, shipping upgrades, and complimentary items.
